Our dynamic and successful Civil Drainage Group is seeking a full-time Intern. This position would be based in our Minneapolis, MN or Fargo, ND office. This group is responsible for the design of civil engineering projects for highway and local roads, public utilities, and related infrastructure projects. The chosen candidate will work up to 40 hours per week during the summer. We are also open to someone working part-time hours during the school year. Looking towards the future? This position has the potential for full-time employment upon graduation from the respective accredited Civil Engineering program.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist design teams with stormwater management and roadway drainage system layout, including storm sewer and culvert design.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in a university’s civil engineering undergraduate program (junior or senior level).
  • Seeking someone who is collaborative, dedicated, enthusiastic, flexible, innovative, organized, and possesses strong communication skills as well as an ability to self-start.
  • Previous experience with CAD and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling applications (e.g. SWMM,  Hydro CAD,  Microstation/Geopak/ORD, and/or AutoCAD) is a plus.
