Minnesota’s Future City Competition recently wrapped up another successful year. Taking first place in the competition was Team Parapluie, Olson Middle School in Bloomington . SRF’s award for Best Transportation System went to Team Citadel, Scott Highlands Middle School in Saint Paul (above).
The Future City Competition is designed to help middle school students learn more about engineering in an imaginative and active way. This year’s competition was full of schools all across the metro area, with 39 teams participating. SRF has been a long time supporter of the Annual MN Future City Competition and this year was no different – 15 staff members from SRF, including SRF President & CEO Dave Montebello, volunteered as team mentors, competition judges, special award judges, essay judges, and SimCity™ judges.
