Cost, schedule, and scope are key elements of delivering a project, large or small. These elements can be effectively managed through cost estimating, schedule management, system management, and risk management. SRF uses project control systems to provide stakeholders with reliable, accurate information that can be used to make decisions necessary to successfully deliver infrastructure projects.
Cost Estimating
SRF creates cost estimates at any phase in the design process and reviews and validates estimates prepared by others. Our estimators have extensive contractor experience and approach cost estimating from a contractor perspective. SRF’s cost estimates are derived using local experience with contractors, labor agreements, materials pricing, equipment rental rates, indirect costs, contractor risk/profit, and market conditions. We provide support beyond estimate development through risk assessment, estimate reconciliation, bid analysis, life-cycle costing, and the negotiation of contract change orders.
Schedule Management
SRF’s schedulers develop planning-level schedules to identify interfaces and milestones and establish contract time and project specifications. We review and analyze baseline and recovery schedules and perform time impact analysis. The review of cost-loaded schedules aids in establishing program- and project-level cash flow forecasts.
